In April 2020, RN to BSN option student, Brandi Borden, was elected President of the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA) Board of Directors for 2020-2021. NSNA membership totals over 60,000 nursing students from across the U.S. and its territories and is based in New York.  NSNA is dedicated to fostering the professional development of nursing students and is the voice of the future of nursing. In her role as NSNA President, Ms. Borden leads a 10-member board which includes students from universities such as Baylor, Penn State, and Villanova.  Ms. Borden is leading work on NSNA policies such as ethics, health, and sexual harassment. Brandi works as an RN in the trauma intensive care unit at University Medical Center in New Orleans.
