Dean Melinda Oberleitner and Nicole Jones, Director of Development for the CONAHP, are very pleased to announce the execution of an Endowed Bequest/Planned Gift in the amount of $1,500,000 from the Estate of Robyn and Rick LeBato. The gift will be divided equally to establish three endowed funds: Coach Rick and Robyn LeBato Endowed Scholarship in Nursing, Coach Rick and Robyn LeBato Nursing Student Support Fund, and the Coach Rick and Robyn LeBato Nursing Faculty Enhancement Fund.
Robyn Landry LeBato graduated with the BSN degree from USL in 1979.  Her family has a long line of alumni, history, and love for the University including:
Patrick Landry (father), SLI graduate in Electrical Engineering
Rick LeBato (husband), USL graduate in Education
Len Culpepper (nephew), USL graduate in Electrical Engineering
Clint LeBato (brother-in-law), USL graduate in Education
Scott LeBato (brother-in-law), USL graduate in Business Administration
Robyn worked in the field of nursing for more than 30 years and specialized in invasive cardiology. She is passionate about helping dedicated students fulfill their dreams of becoming Registered Nurses and is establishing these funds to support them during their tenure at UL Lafayette.
